"Do for your email what Google does for the web." We're suppose to just assume that would be a good thing?

I haven't the faintest idea what this guy is talking about. I suppose that means I'll have to find out...

Another note from Wealth Bondage.

Belling the Cat - A Tale of Terror.

Posted by Captain Blowtorch as a Warning

LONG ago, the mice had a general council to consider what measures they could take to outwit their common enemy, the Cat. Some said this, and some said that; but at last a young mouse got up and said he had a proposal to make, which he thought would meet the case. "You will all agree," said he, "that our chief danger consists in the sly and treacherous manner in which the enemy approaches us. Now, if we could receive some signal of her approach, we could easily escape from her. I venture, therefore, to propose that a small bell be procured, and attached by a ribbon round the neck of the Cat. By this means we should always know when she was about, and could easily retire while she was in the neighbourhood."

This proposal met with general applause, until an old mouse got up and said: "That is all very well, but who is to bell the Cat?" The mice looked at one another and nobody spoke. Then the old mouse said:

"IT IS EASY TO PROPOSE IMPOSSIBLE REMEDIES."

Application

The Happy Tutor seems to suggest that the Mice get together to create a true democracy, an idea that has been tried many times and has never worked. To resist the Cat and the Cat's Paws is un-American because it questions the law of the jungle in which the strong prevail at the expense of the weak. For the Mice to gang up on the Cat is domestic Terrorism and will not be Tolerated. Beware!

[Wealth Bondage]

Captain Blowtorch seems to have put his finger on one of the basic paradoxes of American life: That working together (Democracy) is contrary to the spirit of "free enterprise", as manifest in our overweening valorization of competition and market dynamics over ecology.

The Happy Tutor at Wealth Bondage wants to know:

If we return from Oligarchy to Democracy, would this be Radical or Conservative?
Political Direction [Wealth Bondage]

Good question. Interesting site.
